Starting with Premium and Metal cardholders and rolling out to all customers over the coming weeks, users will have access to special discounts and cashback incentives on a number of well known brands simply by using their Revolut card.
Nary a day goes by that Revolut doesn’t appear to be launching some new type of feature for its customers.
Whether it’s adding new cryptocurrencies to its portfolio of investment options for savers or launching Revolut Junior for kids, you certainty can’t accuse it of resting on its laurels,
And now today the UK-based fintech has announced some more good news for its ever growing Irish customer base: a rewards programme.
Initially only available to paying Premium and Metal cardholders, Revolut says it will begin rolling out the new rewards programme to all its cardholders over the coming weeks too.
Revolut Rewards initially launched in the UK back in March before it began rolling out in other countries such as France, Italy and Portugal over the past few weeks. And now Ireland too of course!
So what’s new?
The new rewards programme will consist of two elements: discounts and cashback.
The discount reward part gives customers an instant discount at a shop, either in-store or online, when they pay using their Revolut debit card or through Apple Pay/Google Pay/Fitbit Pay on their device.
To claim a discount customers either have to click through to the retailer's website via the Revolut app if buying online, or redeem a discount code first.
With cashback rewards, customers will receive money back when they shop using their Revolut card with the relevant retailers (as long as the offer is still currently available). To get the cashback offer customers have to click through to the retailer's website via the Revolut app if buying online, or activate the offer first in the app if buying in-store. You then simply pay using your Revolut card and the money will be credited automatically back into your account over the coming days.
What retailers are involved?
To start with, cashback offers from the likes of Easons, Kildare Village, ASOS and many more will be available to all Irish Revolut customers.
Discounts are available from: Kildare Village, lookfantastic, MUBI, Busuu, Myprotein, and Hotels.com.
You will be able find all the brands on offer in your app under Profile → Widgets → Rewards.
How do I sign up?
There’s no need to sign up. Rewards will become available automatically on your app over the coming days and weeks although you may need to update your app first, so check for updates in the Google or Apple app stores.
And there is no additional fee or charge to use Rewards either; you simply have to be a Revolut customer based in Ireland.
