The provider might not be as well known as some of the bigger suppliers but they're looking to put a dent in the market with this super competitive offer.
The broadband landscape is dynamic at the best of times, but at the moment it's undergoing more change than usual.
With a decision on the National Broadband Plan on the cusp of being announced and existing providers announcing new deals and offers on an almost weekly basis, things are changing faster than ever.
So cue Digiweb announcing that it will offer a package with speeds of up to 1,000Mb (1Gb) from just €10 a month!
So let’s look a little closer at the deal...
So what’s changing?
Digiweb is reducing the cost of its Electric Broadband 1000 offering, which had previously cost €85 a month, to just €10 a month for the first three months. After that the price will be just €54.95 a month for nine months. A one-off activation fee of €49 also applies to new customers.
Customers will get unlimited, lightning-fast, 100% pure fibre with 1Gb speeds, made possible by the SIRO infrastructure. If you haven't already heard about SIRO, you can read all about it here.
You can also choose to add unlimited calls to Irish/UK landlines and mobiles for just €10 extra per month.
So with this new offer your first year with Digiweb will cost just €573.55 a month or €693.55 if you choose the unlimited calls option. But you'll need to hurry as the offer is only available for a limited time only!
Contract length | Activation fee | First 3 months | Next 9 months | Follow-on price |
12 months | €49 | €10 a month | €54.95 a month | €59.95 a month |
Who is the new deal available to?
The deal is available to new customers and existing Digiweb customers who are out of contract. Existing customers who are upgrading won't be charged the €49 activation fee.
A 'game changing' development
Commenting on the launch of the new promotion, Digiweb’s Operations Manager Brendan McGahon said: "We are really excited to be launching our Electric Broadband 1000 promotion. Customers can now sign up to a truly 100% fibre-to-the-home gigabit service at a similar price to what they would expect to pay for a copper-based service."
"This is a game changing development in the Irish telecom’s market and we are gearing up for a busy few months ahead. Our fibre-to-the-home Electric Broadband, powered by SIRO service, is now available to over 200,000 premises nationwide with this number due to grow over the course of the next six months."
