Sky offering discounted broadband and TV bundles for Christmas

The first of the festive deals are starting to filter through, with plenty of great bargains already on offer for those willing to get ahead of the Christmas rush.   

Chief among those great deals available is the most recent offer from Sky Ireland which has come out with a whole new range of money-saving broadband and TV plans.

So, if you’ve been thinking about upgrading your broadband and TV package in time for Christmas, one of these plans could be right up your alley!

Here’s what’s new!

What’s available?

Sky Ireland is offering its Sky Signature TV package, up to 500Mbps broadband and a choice of either Sky Sports or Sky Cinema for 12 months for only €60 per month as part of its range of new deals.

We’ll take a look at what’s available in more detail below, but first!

What’s Sky Signature?

Sky Signature is Sky’s most popular TV package that comes with over 50 TV channels, including the hugely popular Sky Atlantic as well as Sky Box Sets.  

Sky Box Sets allows you to watch hundreds of different TV box sets like The Sopranos and Curb Your Enthusiasm, to newer shows like Succession, and Scenes From A Marriage whenever you want.

You can also pause, record, rewind or restart live TV with the Sky Q set-top box. 

When are the deals from Sky available?

The new plans will be available for sign up from Friday 12th November and will run until Thursday 9th December.

Who can avail of the new plans?

The deals are available to new customers only and not existing Sky customers, unfortunately.

That being said, toward the end of October Sky announced a broadband offer where existing customers can upgrade to Sky's Superfast, Ultrafast, and Ultrafast Plus deals for only €30 per month for 12 months.

A closer look at what’s on offer

As mentioned above new customers can sign up to Sky and get broadband and TV and either Sky Sports or Sky Cinema for as little as €60 per month for the first year.

This deal comes with 100Mbps part-fibre broadband and a total yearly saving of over €900.

However customers in areas with access to full fibre broadband can also get the same deal but with 500Mbps speeds - a no brainer if you’re looking for faster home broadband for the same price!

And if you’re on the hunt for lightning-fast internet speeds then you can also get Sky Signature TV, 1Gbps broadband and a choice of either Sky Sports or Sky Cinema for only €70 per month for 12 months. 

In most cases, all packages also come with access to a free landline with free off-peak calls, however, this will depend on the broadband product you choose.

That’s not all that’s up for grabs!

Sky is also offering new customers a discounted Netflix subscription.

For an extra €5 new customers can sign up to either its 100Mbps or 500Mbps offer and have Netflix included for the year - a cost of only €65 per month.

You’ll also be able to get a Netflix subscription with its gigabit fibre broadband triple play deal, for €75 per month.

Each of these deals also come on 12-month contracts.
