As the weather cools, SSE Airtricity is turning up the heat with a new cashback offer to help ease the burden of high energy costs.
The official start of winter is just around the corner.
For some it can be a magical time of the year: the frosty mornings, the cosy nights by the fire, not to mention all the festive fun in the lead-up to Christmas!
But it can also be a time of worry for many households as high energy bills become a concern.
And with electricity prices still around 70% to 80% above where they were only a few years ago, and gas prices almost double normal levels, this winter will be a particularly expensive one to heat and light our homes.
However there are lots of energy deals available right now offering big savings to new customers. Including this great offer from SSE Airtricity to coincide with Black Friday.
So if you’ve been considering a switch, now might be the perfect time to make the move and start saving.
SSE Airtricity offer
For a limited time, SSE Airtricity is offering €150 welcome credit to all new customers who sign up to an electricity or duel fuel deal with the supplier. The money will be automatically applied to your account before your first bill so you’ll have nothing to do.
You’ll also get a 20% discount on SSE’s standard energy rates for one year.
And if you’re a customer of PTSB, you’ll get an additional 2% back on your SSE bill if you pay it by direct debit from a PTSB Explore current account.
This great offer is available until 9th December and you can sign up now on bonkers.ie.
Compare all providers
SSE isn’t the only supplier offering great deals to new customers right now.
Yuno Energy recently entered the gas market with a great dual fuel deal so this might suit you better. Or you might also want to go with a fixed rate instead.
You can do a full comparison of all the energy deals that are available in just a few minutes using our energy comparison service.
Then to switch, all you need is your MPRN for electricity, your GPRN for gas, and a recent meter reading. You'll also need to supply some personal details and payment details for billing.
